Traveling has always been something that I’ve dreamed about. There is just something magical about going somewhere completely new and experiencing things that are completely new. It’s as if you’ve teleported to a whole new world where everything is just so different. I love every bit of it.
The more I think about it, the more I realize that traveling is about more than just the attractions and “tourist traps” that we’re usually lured to. I think that it should be more about the experience and the freedom of visiting a whole new place.
There are lots of opportunities for students like me to travel. Whether it be through an exchange program or just by taking a year off after high school and traveling. There really are some amazing ways that we can all go and explore the world.
Experiencing new culture and getting a sense of how people from that part of the world live is something that’s really fun.”
The weird part is that you don’t even have to go that far to experience new ways of life. For example, if you headed out to a mountain town like Canmore or Jasper, you’d experience what everyday life is like for people who live there. There are always places like Japan or India where you could go if you want to experience a completely different lifestyle too.
Traveling is also about the fun that you’ll have, whether that be going to different attractions or just spending time with the people who you chose to travel with, there are a lot of opportunities to have fun. The completely unique and special things that happen in our lives are things that we tend to remember, so going out and being somewhere new and exciting will provide a lot of opportunities to create great new memories.
Exploring the world and seeing what it has to offer is something magical and it helps create a sense of perspective on how we ourselves live life.
It shows us that there is more to life than what we do each day, and it shows us that there millions of ways to find fulfillment in our lives. Through in-school and out-of-school trips, we students have lots of ways that we can go out and see the world, and it can be an amazing experience if we choose to.
