We live in a time where everything can be accessed through the internet, where getting lunch from your favourite restaurant is as easy as opening an app. While I appreciate the advantages that the internet has brought us, it has also led to us forgetting that there are other things to do in the outside world.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I enjoy watching a movie once in a while, and appreciate having the ability to find any type of information just by searching it up online whenever I need it. But I also think it is important to remember that we have an entire world out there to explore, and taking the time whether it is a few minutes a day or once to twice a week to go on a walk, a hike or just to enjoy the outdoors can be extremely beneficial to our physical and mental health.

9 ways to spend more time outdoors:

  1. Walk or ride your bike instead of using a car
  2. Workout outside
  3. Work or study outside
  4. Eat your breakfast, lunch or dinner outside
  5. Read a book outside
  6. Have a picnic with friends or family
  7. Go on a hike
  8. Go camping
  9. Wake up just a little bit earlier and go on a walk to help you start your day

These are just a few ideas and ways on how to incorporate some more outdoors time into your daily routine, even 15 minutes a day can make a difference on your wellbeing!

My wish is to stay always like this, living quietly in a corner of nature.” – Claude Monet
