Hi,
Thanks for sending in your question. I understand that it can be very hard to deal with family especially when they have been constantly crossing your emotional boundary. It is common for people to turn to their families in times of crisis but in your situation you don’t feel able to do so. You stated how they have been triggering your anger and making you feel the need to move out which can be very stressful.
It seems like you have been very distressed lately. Some people find that doing things to help cope can get themt through situations like these such as reading a book, going for a walk, watching a movie, etc. I know that some people have tried counseling before to try and talk about their family issues.
What do you like to do for fun? Is there anything you can think to do to help take your mind off your stress and worries for a moment?
If you are comfortable with counseling you can call 211, they are able to provide you with an idea of where to start looking for counselling. Others have talked to people that they know they trust to help them get through situations like these. It may be hard to talk to other people about a situation like this but there are people that are here to listen.
If you need help with anything else you can always call us at 403-264-8336 or text us at 587-333-2724. We also have a section in our website called ‘Peer Talks’ that talk about relateable situations like these.
